Welcome to Red Class!
We hope you’ve had an EGGcellent Easter break and are feeling excited for the summer term, where has the time gone?
We have a funpacked few weeks planned to continue to keep your children inspired, curious, and eager to learn.
Block Three – What am I?
During Block Three, your child will be encouraged to explore the world around them through play, discovery, and meaningful experiences. Our classroom and outside learning garden are designed to be nurturing and stimulating environments where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
We will be beginning to write captions and sentences using our phonetical knowledge, building our skills in using capital letters and full stops. We will also continue to work on our number and letter formation.
In maths, we will be counting, solving problems, and writing numbers beyond 10. This will include skills such as adding, subtracting, and sharing. We will continue learning how to measure, compare, and use positional language.
We will be finding out about growing plants and the life cycles of plants and animals. We will investigate mini beasts and explore how the world around us has changed over the seasons. Specially selected books will help inspire our ideas and support our learning and development.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be focusing on the seaside, pirates, and making maps. We will also be celebrating different festivals and traditions from Buddhist, Islamic, and Jewish faiths.
We will be visiting our local area and going to the park, and we’ll celebrate the end of the term with a summer beach party, chips and lots of fun included!
We continue to establish our SCARF values and, with your support, will help your child develop independence, safe behaviour, confidence, resilience and a love for learning. We’ll keep you updated with regular newsletters, photos on Tapestry, and opportunities to come and see what we’ve been up to.
