Our Vision and Values
We are committed to working together to provide a safe, caring, friendly learning community to ensure that all children can achieve and develop the skills of resilience to approach their learning journey in school and beyond.
We support the individual child to do their best, respect others and their cultures as well as taking pride in everything they do. This is underpinned by our SCARF values, Caring, Safety, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship. These values underpin our King's Ford Code and are reflected in the way that we interact with each other in and around our school:
We achieve this by creating a calm and stable learning environment which takes into account our pupils' backgrounds, our culture and local area. We build on these factors to ensure that we have a therapeutic approach to supporting our pupils rooted in supporting the well-being of all to ensure our pupils are healthy and ready to learn. We create an environment that is engaging and stimulating and promotes thinking, challenge and reflection. We ensure that our pupils have access to a range of opportunities that help to broaden their experiences and encourage future aspirations.
This is supported by quality first teaching, an enabling environment and a commitment to ensuring everyone matters and every day counts.
We ensure all children understand and value British values. These were introduced by the DfE to enhance all students equal entitlement to a broad and balance curriculum. We make the opportunities for all children to consolidate their opinions and practice these values.
