Partnership with parents and carers

We know that the active involvement of parents/carers in supporting the education of their child with SEND  is one of the most important factors in ensuring a child’s success and achievement.   We always invite parents/carers to ‘One Plan’ meetings to plan provision and review progress. We aim to a have a ‘One plan’ meeting involving the parents, class teacher and SENDCO three times a year. We make every effort to communicate clearly and regularly with parents and carers of children with SEND about how we support their children; their achievements and their well-being and their participation in the full life of our school.  We will also advise parents/carers on how to help their children make progress at home, for example in mathematics and reading.

94% of parents strongly agree that the school works in partnership with them to support their child's learning development.

100% of parents surveyed strongly agree or agree that they know who to contact if they are worried about their child
