Welcome to the Nursery

We are a 26 place school Nursery offering part time places for all children aged 3 -4 years.

Our sessions are 8.45-11.45 or 12.15-3.15.

We are staffed by a qualified Early Years teacher Mrs Ingram, a qualified Nursery Nurse (Mrs Bernard) and an experienced learning support assistant (Mrs Diebelius).

We teach according to guidance from ‘Development Matters’ in the Early Years Foundation Stage. We offer stimulating, playful learning opportunities that cover the areas of the EYFS in a supportive, caring setting.

 Areas that we cover are:

  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Communication and Language
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

We encourage children to become independent lifelong learners, through a well planned and organised setting. Children are able to explore, experiment, plan and make decisions for themselves.

Children have access to a spacious outdoor area in all weathers. In the spring and summer this is where we enjoy growing our own fruit and vegetables. In the autumn we are able to eat what we have grown as part of our healthy snack time.

This term our topic is 'Under the Sea/Where can we go?'
